The 4 Zones of the GEM
Highlights: The King Tutankhamun Collection (all 5,398 pieces), the Grand Staircase, and the Main Chronological Galleries.
Expert Tip: “Galleries close at 4:00 PM during Ramadan. Arrive by 10:00 AM to see it all.”
Highlights: Zooba (Modern Egyptian), 30 North (Specialty Coffee), Ladurée (French Luxury), and the Four Seasons Ramadan Tent.
Expert Tip: “This zone stays open until 1:00 AM. No museum ticket is required to enter the dining area.”
Highlights: The 4,500-year-old solar boat in its new dedicated building.
Expert Tip: “This requires a separate ticket extension. Book the ‘Full Experience’ to include this.”
Highlights: State-of-the-art interactive VR and AR experiences for ages 4-12.

The 2026 "Live" Calendar
Now Happening: Ramadan Nights at the GEM. Featuring live Oud performances in the Grand Hall and the “Al Mashrafia” Sohour experience.
Ongoing Exhibit: Arab. Art. Here. Selected contemporary pieces from the Art Cairo 2026 fair are still on display in the outdoor gardens.

The Ticket Trap: “Only book via visit-gem.com. In 2026, physical ticket offices are often closed to manage crowd flow—digital booking is mandatory.”
Getting There: “Take the East Nile Monorail to the Giza Station, or use the Careem ‘GEM’ specialized drop-off for the shortest walk to the Ramses II Colossus.”
Accessibility: “The GEM is 100% wheelchair and stroller accessible, featuring tactile models for the visually impaired.”
